Amazing Mexican food at a hole in the wall restaurant. Coffee was delicious (I drink black), food was delicious, and good customer service! I got the carne guisada plate and I'm from New Mexico where it's a little different but this still impressed me compared to other spots in San Antonio! Caldo was good too! It was tomatillo base and hit the spot with the cold weather Service was attentive and food was quick to come out hot and fresh! Price was great as well only $30 for 2 coffees & 2 plates

Walked in and was immediately greeted. Restaurant was very clean and food aroma smelled amazing. Fernando, our waiter, was helpful with suggestions and fast to bring our drinks. I ordered the trio enchilada plate (cheese, chicken and beef). It was super flavorful. I would def order again. The flour tortillas were fluffy and hot. We will be back for sure!

Close and convenient to shopping center kind of tucked away in the corner is a nice little cafe with very good food and friendly service. I had the carnita platter but we posted for them to crisp up the meat alone and to try one flower and one corn tortilla. Food overall was pretty good the Carnitas had a lot of flavor beans were solid rice a little on the dry side. Corn tortilla was hand-pressed on the thick side, flour tortilla stick for both tasted good. Plenty of seating so the wait does not bad the food came out quick and employees had smiles. I'll be back to try more of the different platters. Decent choice for a quick bite to eat

Came here in. Whim because we were actually seeking the panaderia next door... Great food. Good bacon and eggs and excellent pork chop on my "Super Ranchero" plate. Bean were excellent and home made corn and flour tortillas. Family place that is charming. Coffee was bit weak, but other than that the food and people here are really good...

Santos is near my office and way to convenient to not stop and get breakfast tacos frequently. The restaurant is always very clean and the service is very friendly. The huevos rancheros are probably some of the best in town. The tortillas are always spot on. The selection and price of the breakfast tacos is very good, however be careful about adding extra ingredients as it gets expensive quickly. The iced tea is ALWAYS VERY STRONG, so be prepared to use extra sugar or sweetener.

2nd time here visiting from Arizona. Staff is on point, courteous, friendly and super busy. The chorizo is flavorful and the potatoes (papas) are cooked perfectly. The beans are really tasty and the tortillas are delicious.

This little restaurant is the perfect place to get a breakfast plate or taco. The servers set the mood with a prompt and friendly greeting when you walk in the door. About 20 four top tables from which to choose. Sit where you like. The decor is mismatched tables and chairs. Paintings of Spanish landscape scenes hang a little too high around the room. There are even a couple black velvet paintings as a shout out to the 70s. But I don't come here for the ambiance; it's the Huevos Rancheros plate. Two eggs cooked to your specifications smothered with ranchero sauce, potatoes, refried beans and bacon. Corn or flour tortillas. I've been coming here for years and the food and waitstaff are always consistent. Lots of blue-collar workers are fueling up for a hard days work. A line forms at the register to pick up the call-in orders. When I see this many Hispanic people in a Mexican restaurant, it's authentic. You won't have to wait long till your order is delivered with a smile. With so many Mexican restaurants around, Santos keeps me coming back with what I want from a restaurant, good food and good service, at a good price. Try this place if you want a solid breakfast. If you haven't seen a black velvet Toucan painting in a while, table 2 will give you a good view. Bon appetit Yelpers.
